Not only does Shelly Watson bring to the cast of The Garden State Jubilee any real semblance of class or theatrical training, she is also the only cast member whose name has been printed in the paper in a section other than "Police Blotter." When asked to speak about her experience as the only legitimate actor in the cast, Ms. Watson replied, "My continued association with The Garden State Jubilee is a clear indication that this country is in the throes of a deep depression and no legitimate work can be had. The times, being what they are, I agreed to sing for my supper. I had the silly idea that "supper" meant more than just a bag of popcorn from the theater's concession stand." Off the record she told this reporter, "When the lights go on again on Broadway, I'm outta this s---t hole production!" Until then, she continues to renew her prescription for Paxil until the day when she can leave the world of New Jersey entertainment behind her and never look westward again.
