Born Randolph Bennet, Lou Azzolini was discovered by Nelson Page, not for his amazing vocal techniques, but for his continued practice of sneaking into a second movie at the Cedar Lane Theaters having only paid for one ticket. Really a native of Iowa, Lou came to New Jersey down on his luck until one fortuitous day, while sitting at the counter at The Tic Toc Diner, he realized that sitting next to him was not only theater owner Nelson Page, but a boy named Tom Meyers eating the same dish(es) he was--chili burger, chili cheese fries and a chocolate egg cream. It was Kismet! After a rousing conversation about dead film stars from the 1930's, and a wild game of "match the silent film star with the movie" Lou took Tom and Nelson to Hoboken where he introduced them to all the great little places that he read about in the "Iowa Natives Guide to Hoboken".  Before the day was out, Randolph changed his name to Lou Azzolini, had a graphics business, and became a registered democrat. When asked to describe his experience on The Garden State Jubilee he is quoted as saying, "I love the people on the show--they're the best!" Off the record he added, "I've met farm animals in labor that were funnier than all of them put together! And if they make me do Mr. Carmine's voice one more time, somebody's gonna die!"
